Stop Hiding
The Chaos.
Engineer It.

Traditional J-channels and wire baskets treat symptoms. The SmartCableBoard is a structural, grid-based mounting plane with integrated high-density power delivery designed for multi-monitor, high-draw professional workstations.

Gravity Is Not
A Strategy.

Look under your desk. If your power bricks are resting in a suspended mesh basket, or dangling from velcro straps, you are relying on gravity and tension to maintain connections. This is a structural liability.

When you adjust a standing desk, dynamic tension shifts. A 2-pound MacBook Pro power brick in a tray shifts. Ports get torqued. Traditional cable management is decorative; it hides a mess without solving the routing mechanics.

Of standing desk users report connection failures due to cable tension.*

Anatomy of the Board

A CNC-routed MDF and aluminum hybrid backplane. Every component bolts down. Nothing shifts. Nothing dangles.

Universal Grid

Standardized 1-inch peg grid accommodates custom brackets, allowing you to hard-mount heavy power adapters directly to the plane.

Bracket Compatibility

Integrated 15A PDU

We removed the plastic power strip. Built directly into the board spine is a 12-outlet, surge-protected rail carrying 1800W.

Power Specs

Deterministic Routing

Dedicated channels for AC power and low-voltage data. Never cross an unshielded audio cable with a 120V line again.

Status: Bolted & Routed

Stop Stacking. Start Bolting.

The SmartCableBoard ships with custom CNC-bent aluminum brackets that secure your heaviest power bricks directly to the grid.

  • Zero Strain: Cables are routed at 90-degree angles with zero gravitational strain on ports.
  • Thermal Spacing: Hard-mounting bricks separates them, preventing the dangerous heat buildup common in piled cable trays.

Stop Chaining Power Strips.

Daisy-chaining cheap plastic surge protectors violates fire code and introduces ground loop issues in audio equipment.

15 Amps

Total System Capacity

A standard US circuit provides 15A or 20A. The SmartCableBoard's integrated PDU maxes out a standard 15A circuit (1800W), utilizing a heavy 14AWG main line.

3150 Joules

Surge Protection Rating

Hospital-grade MOV components absorb transients before they reach your multi-thousand dollar workstation components.

Frequently Asked

If your desk frame leaves a flat, unobstructed area of at least 36" x 12" (for the Standard size), it will fit. Ensure your desk top is at least 0.75" thick to accept the mounting screws without piercing the top surface. See our compatibility guide for frame-specific measurements.
When mounted with all 6 provided standoffs into solid wood or MDF, the Standard board is rated for 45 lbs of static load. This is sufficient for multiple massive power bricks (like a Mac Studio brick + monitor bricks) and routing hardware.
We are currently taking preorders for Batch 04, which is scheduled to enter manufacturing in August 2024 and ship by late September 2024. Updates are provided strictly via email to preorder customers.

The Grid Routing System

A typical standing desk contains 3-4 separate high-voltage cables. When these tangle with low-voltage signal cables (DisplayPort, USB-C, Audio), the resulting induction causes packet drops and audio hum.

The 1" peg grid on the SmartCableBoard acts as a coordinate system for routing. You create deterministic, orthogonal paths for your cables, securing them with zip ties directly to the board structure.

Built For Motion

Every time your desk elevates, the physical geometry of your cables changes. Without rigid mounting, this geometry change applies direct shearing force to the ports on your expensive equipment.

01

Zero Port Strain

By bolting the dock and the power supply to the same rigid plane, the distance between them never changes during desk movement.

02

Single Point of Flex

The only cable that moves is the heavy-duty 14AWG power cord extending from the board to the wall outlet.

03

Clearance Checked

The low-profile 3.5" drop ensures the board clears the crossbar during actuation without hitting your knees.

15 Min Install

Permanent Modification.

The SmartCableBoard is heavy-duty hardware. It does not use adhesive tape or flimsy C-clamps. It requires drilling 12 pilot holes and driving 12 wood screws directly into the underside of your desk.

Requires Power Drill and 1/8" Pilot Bit.

Engineered Materials

We selected materials based on their thermal and structural properties, not their cost.

AL

6061-T6 Aluminum Spine

The core PDU housing is extruded from aircraft-grade aluminum. It provides immense structural rigidity across the 48" span and acts as a massive thermal heat sink for the integrated power supply, dissipating heat 1000x faster than standard plastic power strips.

HDF

High-Density Fiberboard

The main grid plane must be structurally rigid to hold 45lbs of localized weight without warping, while remaining non-conductive for electrical safety. CNC-routed HDF provides superior tear-out resistance for mounting screws compared to standard MDF or plastic.
