Installation Manual
Proper mechanical fastening is critical. Do not skip steps. Requires a power drill, a 1/8" pilot bit, and a Phillips driver.
Preparation & Layout
Flip your desk upside down. While it is possible to install from underneath, gravity makes alignment difficult. Position the SCB-V2 between the back edge of the desk and the metal crossbar.
Mark Pilot Holes
Attach the 6 steel standoff brackets to the board using the provided machine screws. Position the board on the desk surface, ensure it is square, and use a pencil to mark the 12 mounting hole locations through the brackets.
Drill Pilot Holes
Remove the board. Wrap a piece of tape around your 1/8" drill bit exactly 0.5 inches from the tip to act as a depth stop. Drill the 12 pilot holes. Do not drill deeper than 0.5 inches or you will pierce your desktop.
Final Mounting
Place the neoprene isolation pads over the holes. Reposition the board. Drive the 12 wood screws using a hand screwdriver or a drill on a low clutch setting. Do not overtighten and strip the wood.
